En la semana que termina ocurrió un hecho trascendental en la historia de Colombia en los últimos 100 años, el cese bilateral de hostilidades entre las F.A.R.C. y el gobierno. Espero que este sea el comienzo del fin de un conflicto que lleva 71 años y que ha cobrado millones de víctimas a lo largo de su sangriento curso y el cambio hacia una nueva era en la que se de final a un régimen que se ha fundamentado en la discriminación y la masacre para sostener sus privilegios.

Me entristece ver que la mayoría les disgusta la salida pacifica del conflicto. Cuando abordé el tema con mis conocidos, embargado por el júbilo, recibí miradas y expresiones gélidas de desaprobación.

Yo por mi parte seguiré abrazado a la tristeza.

sometimes I make small drawings when bits left over to cut the paper. What may be trash I turn it into art. Sometimes i inspired in comics that i read.

I wrote the script this story two years ago, Unfortunately my PC broke and i lost the script (tears). Later, i wrote the script again one year later and start again the arts.

Today, the things that happen in this  fiction comic occur in the real life in two cities of my country.

Making comics is an arduous process, at least for me, and even more so in the case of this work. First comes the idea, then comes the documentation, character design, documentation, script, storyboard or thumbs, the page in pencil, documentation, ink, text, editing ...

In countries where comics exist, this process is done by several people, a writer and an artist. The United States has a specialist at each stage of the process, writer, drawer, inker, colorist, letterist, editor... to get a comicbook of monthly pages 24-30. Here doing it all one person (in my specific case), that lengthens the process time, it is hard work.

It reads easily but it is very difficult to do.

Perhaps that is why primary teachers ask me to teach them how to make comics to children first and second grade, including preschool, to my they seem sympathetics.

Hacer historietas es un proceso arduo, al menos para mí, y aún más en el caso de ésta obra. Primero se presenta la idea, luego viene la documentación, el diseño de personajes, la documentación, el guión, los bocetos o el storyboard, la página en lápiz, la documentación, la tinta, textos, edición…

En países donde existe la historieta, éste proceso lo realizan varias personas, un guionista y un dibujante. En estados unidos hay un especialista en cada fase del proceso, guionista, lapicista, entintador, colorista, letrista, editor… para sacar un ejemplar de 24 a 30 páginas mensual. Acá toca hacerlo todo una sola persona (en mi caso específico), eso alarga el tiempo del proceso, es mucho trabajo.

Se lee fácil pero es muy difícil de hacer.

Tal vez por eso las maestras de primaria me piden que les enseñe cómo hacer cómics a niños de primero y segundo de primaria, incluso de preescolar, no dejan de parecerme simpáticas.

In many official historical texts tells this defamatory cause

I do not know where it comes from or who spread this version of events. Anyway I took the liberty to include in the story at the time in which a Spanish soldier, amid the spectacle of sadism, says such conjecture to one of the attendees.

En muchos textos de la historia oficial se cuenta ésta difamatoria causa por la cual Crescencio fue tan brutalmente castigado, según esos relatos, le cortaron la mano derecha y su pene por haber golpeado a su madre en estado de ebriedad. Totalmente falso y además imposible en la época en cuestión.

En los años en los que transcurre el relato (1580 aproximadamente) los esclavizados eran traídos directamente del África, es decir que la madre de Crescencio aún vivía (si vivía) en el África. Por otra parte a los esclavizados se les tenía prohibido reproducirse, los neonatos eran asesinados de inmediato por el temor a que los africanos superaran en número a los españoles y estos se sublevaran en contra de sus captores. De este modo era imposible que nuestro protagonista hubiera nacido o que tuviera una madre en las Américas y al mismo tiempo estar esclavizado.

Desconozco de donde viene o quien esparció tal versión de los hechos. De todas maneras me tomé la libertad de incluirlo dentro de la obra en el momento en el que un soldado español, en medio del espectáculo de sadismo, le dice tal conjetura a una de las asistentes.
